SENIOR
LIVING
Designed a senior living facility in Edina, MN. The designer chose to keep the space warm neutral tones, while adhering to the elderly's needs. The building boasted large public spaces, ample walking space, salon, fitness room, bar, and lounges. This design was successful because the spaces were not only relaxing, cozy, and inviting, but they were very functional and modern for the residents of the facility.
RESTA
URANT
Designed a culturally sensitive and universally designed house for the Hmong culture in St. Paul, MN. We were to make the house affordable, design for the Hmong, and design for Americans. This design was successful because the spaces were adaptable and modern, yet they encompassed the Hmong culture. There was an abundance of natural light, but also plenty of privacy. The house also promotes aging in place.
Designed an adaptive reuse project in the old bell museum on the U of M campus in Minneapolis, MN. The designer chose to embrace the existing art deco style, while modernizing it. The building boasted a large dining space, central bar, show kitchen, tasting room, and private restrooms. This design was successful because the spaces were relaxing, cozy, and inviting by the combinations of materials and lighting.
